Charlotte Blondel


Charlotte has been admitted to practice as a lawyer in France and has a bachelor degree from the Institut d’Etudes Politiques of Paris (Sciences Po).  She holds a Masters Degree in Law, with distinction, from the Institut d’Etudes Politiques of Paris (Sciences Po), and studied at La Sorbonne University (Paris) and Columbia University (New York), as part of the global alliance program on International Business Law and Governance. There, she mainly focused on the execution of international decisions and sovereign immunities. She also studied international trade law, international environmental law international human rights, EU law and humanitarian law.

Charlotte advises private entities and sovereign States on contentious and non-contentious public international law and international dispute resolution.

Prior to joining Volterra Fietta, Charlotte worked with several leading public international law and arbitration teams in Paris. She also served as a law clerk at the Paris Tribunal de Grande Instance, working on white-collar crimes and human rights cases, and has experience in domestic litigation. She assisted professors and advocates on several pro bono cases involving severe human rights violations, immigration law and international refugee law. She also worked for climate associations and attended several climate international negotiation sessions as an authorised observer.
