Elsimel Almonte

Staff Lawyer

Elsimel is a Dominican-qualified lawyer. She holds a law degree from the Pontificia Universidad Católica Madre y Maestra (PUCMM) and an LL.M. in International Business Regulation, Litigation and Arbitration from New York University. There she was graduate editor on NYU’s Journal of International Law & Politics and participated in a Pro Bono Arbitration Research Project with the International Lawyers Assisting Workers Network.

Prior to joining us Elsimel worked as an intern at the Secretariat of the International Court of Arbitration of the International Chamber of Commerce in North America (ICC/SICANA) and at the United Nations Office of Legal Affairs, Treaty Section. She has also worked as an attorney in the Dominican Republic providing a variety of legal services including litigation among multiple areas of the law such as international, investment, arbitration, commercial, corporate, and administrative law, among others.
