Staff Lawyer
IfeOluwa is a Nigerian-qualified lawyer with more than five years’ experience advising on complex disputes and transactions in Africa and emerging markets. He holds an LL.B. in Law from the University of Ibadan and an LL.M. in International Commercial Law from the University of Sussex, where he received the award for the Best Performance in his class. He also has a Diploma in International Arbitration from the Africa Arbitration Academy, London.
Prior to joining Volterra Fietta, Ife worked as an associate in the dispute resolution practice of a leading law firm in Nigeria under the direct supervision of a highly recognised Senior Advocate and former Attorney General. In that position, he was team lead on several transactions and disputes involving States and state-owned entities; corporations and private clients in the finance, construction, retail, technology, and energy sectors. He represented the firm’s local and foreign clients before various courts in Nigeria (both in first instance and at appellate levels) and before diverse tribunals and regulatory forums.
Most recently, Ife worked as a Research Assistant at the School of Law, Politics and Sociology, University of Sussex. His work focused on advising States on the legal risks of hosting Foreign Direct Investment and litigation strategies for managing investment disputes.
