Staff Lawyer
Nayomi holds an LLM in International and Comparative Law from the George Washington University Law School where she was awarded a Thomas Buergenthal Scholarship and Weaver International Court of Justice Fellowship. She holds an LLB and a BA with Honours from the National Law School of India University. She has also been called to the Bar in Sri Lanka as an Attorney-at-Law.
Prior to joining Volterra Fietta, Nayomi gained experience in treaty and contract arbitration at a leading international arbitration practice in London. She has served as the Associate Legal Officer to Judge Dalveer Bhandari (2020-2021) and Judicial Fellow to Judge Patrick Robinson (2019-2020) at the International Court of Justice. She also has experience at the Multilateral Investment Guarantee Agency of the World Bank Headquarters and has clerked for leading international judge and arbitrator, The Honourable Charles N. Brower.
