A reminder that registration for The London International Boundary Conference 2015 closes at midnight on Saturday 28 November 2015 (GMT). There are limited spaces available for the Conference and the workshops.


Following the success of the workshop on maritime delimitation at the 2013 edition of the Conference, there will now be two workshops offered.

  • On 30 November, Dr Robin Cleverly of Marbdy Consulting Ltd will conduct a workshop offering a practical introduction to maritime delimitation.
  • On 2 December, Dr Lindsay Parson of Maritime Zone Solutions Ltd will conduct a workshop on mineral resources beyond oil and gas and their significance for coastal states’ maritime boundaries. This workshop will use the Arctic Ocean as a test-bed for resource evaluation and significance for maritime boundaries.


Six panels will address the following topics:

  • Boundary permeability and the reach of the State in the Middle East and Eastern Europe
  • Regional developments in the South and East China Seas since 2013
  • Technical perspectives on the Arctic
  • Island sovereignty and maritime jurisdiction
  • Ethics and international boundaries
  • Jurisdictional challenges in boundary and sovereignty disputes
