Join us for the third and final seminar in the Hybrid ‘Hot Topics‘ Seminar Series 2021. This seminar will focus on Public International Law, and will be co-hosted by Khawar Qureshi QC together with Peter Flint of Volterra Fietta.

 

Peter Flint and Khawar Qureshi are both widely recognised international law experts with substantial experience of advising and acting both for and against States in international arbitrations and before domestic courts.

 

Khawar Qureshi QC will provide an overview considering recent significant judgments concerning:

• Service of Proceedings upon Foreign States
• Diplomatic/State Immunity
• Enforcement of Judgments/Awards against States/State Entities

 

Peter Flint will deliver a presentation and give his insights on “Submarine Warfare: Can Public International Law sink this low?”

 

After the seminar, there will be a panel discussion chaired by Sir Stanley Burnton to consider the key developments, legal issues, and practice points arising in these areas.
