Marcos Peña

Staff Lawyer

Marcos is a Dominican Republic-qualified with experience in litigation in the Dominican Republic.  He holds an LLB degree with honours from Universidad Iberoamericana (UNIBE) and an LLM in International Business and Economic Law with a Certificate in International Arbitration and Dispute Resolution from Georgetown University Law Center.

While pursuing his LLM, Marcos was part of the Board of the Georgetown University International Arbitration Society (GIAS) and a Research Assistant to Professor Álvaro Santos in the project “Measuring and Building Institutional Capacity for Investor-State Dispute Settlement in Latin America and the Caribbean,” sponsored by the Center for the Advancement of the Rule of Law in the Americas (CAROLA).

Prior to joining Volterra Fietta, Marcos worked for several years in the Department of Dispute Resolution and International Arbitration of a highly regarded law firm in Latin America.
