Naomi Agbessi

Staff Lawyer

Naomi is called to the Bar of Paris (France).  She holds a Master degree in both private and public international law from the University of Jean Moulin Lyon III and an LL.M in international and comparative dispute resolution, with a focus on arbitration from the Queen Mary University of London.

Naomi’s experience covers a wide range of contentious and non-contentious international dispute resolution issues.  She has been involved in a number of investment treaty arbitrations, including intra-EU disputes under the Energy Charter Treaty.  Her arbitration experience also includes commercial arbitrations and disputes relating to major infrastructure projects.  Much of Naomi’s work has been focused on disputes with an African component and she is experienced in working in a variety of applicable laws from the region.  In addition to international disputes cases, Naomi has also worked on the transactional side of energy and infrastructure projects in Africa.

Prior to joining Volterra Fietta, Naomi worked with leading law firms in Paris and Cotonou (Benin).
